  - prek and k goals are 20 minutes a day being read too, first grade she has to do 20 minutes a day on her own and 20 minutes a day being read too so a total of 40 and just to make sure he is still reading my high schooler if he reads an hour a day will get his own medium size pizza which I buy. - We're in NC also, and 180 days is correct, but they don't dictate "when" the days are to be...just at some point within the 365 calendar year. I count weekends too, if we do stuff on the weekends. We are also tested once a year, and have to keep copies of the kids immunization and attendence forms. It's really not too bad, I guess compared to some states.
