	i make ours up as we go, it seems to hold his interest that way...are you looking for english activities like grammer and punctuation and what not or actual reading, like books? how old is he? (i'm assuming it's one of your boys)...james really likes books by judy blume and beverly cleary, the encyclopedia brown series, and the captain underpants series (nt) - serialmommy 11/05/2009 10:12
	Yes it is my 9yo son. I am looking for actual reading I use BJU press and he is interested in the stories but gets overwhelmed with the comprehension questions and the length of the stories (nt) - mom2twelve 11/05/2009 12:21

	i think using the series books works well because you know he already likes the characters so it's a bit easier to keep his attention...not to mention, they are pretty easy for an adul to read through so you can prepare what you want beforehand and stay ahead of him that way (nt) - serialmommy 11/07/2009 13:10
	Not sure of his reading level but my 8yo is reading the Sonlight intermediate 2 books. He could read higher but gets frustrated if it's hard (m) - joyofsix 11/06/2009 05:25
