hopefully she really appreciates it! It can be stressfull I'll bet, but at least you know it is only temporary. (nt) - kiddaw 4 days ago

Yeah. I just see high abuse potential. She's a good friend so I'll do it and hope it doesn't become habit. She wanted me to be her nanny at one point. . Umm . . hello. . I work too. (nt) - katie3 4 days ago

AWFUL weekend...spent 8hours at the hospital for possible PE...but they really have no clue... - kiddaw 4 days ago

Oh and the hospitals attitude about "lets just get the show on the road" at 30 weeks really annoyed me too.... - kiddaw 4 days ago

WHAT??!!!! Oh my GOSH!!! I would have had an absolute fit. - laurazim 4 days ago

Thank you Laura, your prayers DO mean a lot! I know I've just had this really wayward pregnancy this whole time. I think thats why its harder for me to bond maybe? I dunno but I do miss "drama free" and would just like to RELAX. PHEW. (nt) - kiddaw 4 days ago

Yikes!!!! Sending you lots of Hugs and Prayers... - SevenMs 4 days ago

Thank you! I WAS really annoyed because it was coming from the labor and delivery AND ER staff. My dh even related to them the fiasco we had from my LAST dd being late term premature and I still don't think they got that a 10 week early baby wasn't really a funny "joke". groan. I appreciate your support!!! (nt) - kiddaw 4 days ago

well, PE's aren't the easiest thing to treat in general, much alone DURING pregnancy. i understand their hesitation on how to treat. after all, PE's can be deadly, but i'm sorry to hear you had such a miserable time dealing with medical staff.. (nt) - threebarryboys 4 days ago

Well...I had a nurse today explain how things can be more "inconclusive" than exact today and it made me feel better that they didn't give me an exact diagnosis....It still worries me of course and I think the doctors wording was wrong and it had a lot to do with how I felt towards the diagnosis. (nt) - kiddaw 4 days ago

I swear you have had such a rollercoaster of a pregnancy. Hopefully a smooth birth and an easy newborn is headed your way. (nt) - katie3 4 days ago

Ha ha tottaly! Right? I think it is DUE to me at this point. what stinking drama. I feel like I've been on a soap opera lately. LOL Too much anyway. (nt) - kiddaw 4 days ago

LONG! Kayla's school had a float in a parade. Making the float was fun, but waiting for our unit number in the parade was a very long, hot time! (We were #84, so we sat for almost 2 hours waiting to get movin'!) Man, do I need a nap today, and these temps back up in the 90s are helping wipe me out even faster.... (nt) - laurazim 4 days ago

Sounds like fun! I'm not enjoying this warm weather either.....I think temps in the 70's would be perfect right about now... (nt) - shannoncp 4 days ago

Oh cool, I wanna see pics of the float! That sounds like fun, but really really exhausting too! (nt) - kiddaw 4 days ago

Hopefully I'll be able to post some over on FB. Our friend Eric was taking pics--4 of their 8 kids are students at the school, and 5 of them were there. (nt) - laurazim 3 days ago

9. Anyone 'know' they were pregnant before the BFP? (m) - katie3 4 days ago (8)

Yes, my last 3 pg's before the last m/c I did. I knew with Emily because I had the same symptoms I did with the twins but worse. Rob same symptoms but moodier. - HollysTribe 4 days ago

Just curious really . . - katie3 4 days ago

yes i did! with this pregnancy. i actually knew it was the month because i got a positive ovulation test. it was the firstpositive ive gotten. so i just knew i would get pregnant. i just had to play the waiting game which seemed like forever! (nt) - MommyDuBois 4 days ago

My best indicator is moodiness too! I just fly off the handle at the kids and my poor DH! Although this will only be our fifth, it's our ninth pregnancy, and I get so moody it's surprising he's "let" me have so many! (nt) - shannoncp 4 days ago

LOL on the pimples...that is me too! I "just knew" with my fifth at 7dpo! And it was because of ms...like who gets ms at 7dpo? LOL! Not all the time am I ever so cluefull but I think I'm fairly sensitive to my bodies indicators... (nt) - kiddaw 4 days ago

For 2 pregnancies, I had no clue until 12 weeks and 7 weeks. But all the rest (20+), I knew/suspected right from conception! (nt) - duedrop 4 days ago

i knew with my last 3 that i was pregnant before testing. something just seemed...."off". GL! (nt) - threebarryboys 4 days ago

10. Those of you that are keeping me and baby in your prayers...I just wanna say I think they are really working and I totally appreciate it! I hate to sound SO full of drama...it gets old, but I felt like I was turned towards the perfect person today... - kiddaw 4 days ago (3)

I'm so glad you feel better in yourself! When you're in pain and not well, it's mostly the "not knowing" that makes it difficult to live with, and scary too. Hope your OB listens and gets you the tests you need. (nt) - duedrop 4 days ago

I'm so relieved you feel you are in the 'right' direction of care now, and h&p that the uncertancies are cleared up. (nt) - Jenswrens 4 days ago

12. *+*+*+*+* Tuesday Tip Jar--Share a helpful tip you've just learned or an old classic one. *+*+*+*+* (nt) - proudmommy5 3 days ago (8)

Not really a pg or ttc tip but a very good one nonetheless. If you get a mosquito bite, rub on some deoderant. It has something to do with the aluminum something in them. They take the swelling down and the itch subsides. (nt) - HollysTribe 3 days ago

wow!!! wish I would of known that earlier, thank u for sharing we r still getting ate up with them things (nt) - proudmommy5 3 days ago

deodrant doesn't have aluminum in it.. anti perspirants do. Aluminum is actually not good for u :( God said let the arm pits pour let them pour! (nt) - Amanda 3 days ago

The whole antipersperant thing is a myth. It's on snopes. (nt) - HollysTribe 3 days ago

i take my medical advice from medical books on the subject not something like Snopes. Look up the effects of Aluminum in your body- its not good for you not to mention God designed for your body to regulate its temp using your arm pits to sweat. If you artificially prevent your glands from releasing do you not think it could cause problems>? Breast cancers shot up after anti perspirants became popular (nt) - Amanda yesterday, 02:32AM

my husband tried this last night on a spider bite and it really worked! thanks for the tip! (nt) - MommyDuBois 2 days ago

No prob! It has really helped my kids & me and it was best to share! :) (nt) - HollysTribe 2 days ago

13. *+*+*+*+* IPS/RPS -- Preggo (or hopefully preggo) Moms, what "joys and pains" are you dealing with? *+*+*+*+* (nt) - proudmommy5 3 days ago (1)

14. *+*+*+*+* Tuesday Two -- have you adopted? If not would you or have you considered it? *+*+*+*+* (nt) - proudmommy5 3 days ago (7)

I have and I would do it again if the red tape wasn't such a pain or we could afford private adoptions. (nt) - HollysTribe 3 days ago

We have never adopted, but would consider it! However, I would not want to adopt a child older than my oldest (she is 9 now). I'm not sure why, I just feel it wouldn't work out well. (nt) - shannoncp 3 days ago

I have always thought about it but never thought I could. I would like to adopted a special needs baby for some reason that is what is in my heart I just don't think they would let me do to my finances (nt) - proudmommy5 3 days ago

Would LOOOOOVVVVE to adopt. My dream is to adopt girls from Ethiopia, a few of them of varying ages (infant to teen.) If only I had the money and an agreeable dh. (nt) - pugsnkids 3 days ago

At this point in my life, no. Even though I feel in my heart that I want more children, I'm not going to go through extra efforts to achieve them. No more IF treatments for me either. I would have adopted if I was unable to conceive #1 though. (nt) - katie3 3 days ago

I haven't, but I would. My oldest dd would love to adopt.....I won't be surprised at all if she ends up adopting when she is older! (nt) - sis517blue 2 days ago

17. Which # baby was the most difficult/easiest to adjust to? (nt) - katie3 3 days ago (12)

#2 was the hardest for me. #3 has been the easiest. I think this had more to do with me than their temperments. (nt) - katie3 3 days ago

For me, 2 & 3 were the hardest (twins) #4 was the easiest! LOL (nt) - HollysTribe 3 days ago

going from 1 to 2 was hardest for me! (nt) - threebarryboys 3 days ago

(shhhh don't let mamasan read this because I don't wanna influence her-lol) but TOTALLY number five. I have so much less time to do things than when I had four! I think part of it is my kids have different needs now that they are entering "tween" age, but also number 5 is my hate to love DEVIL child! She's got a very stubborn personality and sensory issues...sooo....fwiw... (nt) - kiddaw 3 days ago

#2 has been the hardest of my kids to deal with since day one.... Don't know which was the easiest... (nt) - SevenMs 3 days ago

#3 for me.. #2 was a breeze and so was #4. im hoping #5 is easy but im thinking its going to be difficult.. keeping my fingers crossed its an easy transition! (nt) - MommyDuBois 3 days ago

Going from 2 to 3 was the hardest for us. I think it was because it was the first time the kids out numbered us. (nt) - Denise1066 3 days ago

2-3 :) (nt) - MommyScott 3 days ago

1 - 2..... (nt) - sis517blue 2 days ago

For me my #2 was the hardest because I also gained two young step-sons. I went from one to four very quickly. My #3 (our #5) was the easiest cause by the time he came along the other four were older, all potty-trained etc. (nt) - pugsnkids 2 days ago

Going from 2 to 3 was the hardest - and my third is still my hardest child! Adding #2 and #4 to the mix was easy, and I hope that holds true for #5! (nt) - shannoncp 2 days ago

PMS queen. Short on patience with the kids, bad headaches, and feeling bummed because I really wanted to be pregnant. (nt) - katie3 2 days ago

Aunt Flo made her ugly appearance today....three days early! So much for all the b-dancing we did this month.....I didn't think I would be disappointed because I haven't been feeling that pull to have another baby....but I am! Maybe I am feeling it more than I thought. (nt) - sis517blue 2 days ago

I didn't think I'd be disappointed either. It's only my first cycle of TTC and logically I know there's only something like 20% chance each cycle. But even though my brain knows it's unlikely the first try, my heart is still sad. (nt) - katie3 2 days ago

great big hugs to both of you...it is disappointing, but on to the next!!! I'm praying for both of you to get your BFPs!! (nt) - Dbaas 2 days ago

I agree.....he was out of line. - sis517blue yesterday, 01:56AM

Gotcha. . my advise on switching to a different Ob (m) - katie3 yesterday, 01:56AM

Stay strong in your resolve, I agree-he is obviously NOT whom you would want to deliver your baby. He sounds very insensitive-and from experience-those that push, WILL try to push harder when you are most vulnerable (aka during or after delivery) (nt) - kiddaw 20 hours ago

I talked to my family dr today. He agreed with me that this quack oops I meen dr ;) was very out of line. I am calling a midwife to see if their practice will take me on this far along...or I just may deliver on my own in my bath tub....Stephanie...you out there? I had them listed individually... - serialmommy yesterday, 02:59AM

Maternity is difficult to sell on ebay...I would go for Craigslist personally. I think the time and effort to list and then the fees really make it not as worthwhile... - kiddaw 21 hours ago

Lots of hugs for you Erica! Hope today is better. And honestly...I didn't *mean* to laugh at that last comment ("if you can't be happy after buying donuts..") but the giggles just slipped out! (nt) - shannoncp 3 hours ago

Thanks, I have to laugh a little at the drama too though because otherwise I would just go crazy! LOL!! I think it is a built in defense for us lok moms (nt) - kiddaw 1 hour ago

31. how does using a pacy help AF show up faster when bf? this is the first bf baby that I have used a pacy on and I was just curious about it. (nt) - proudmommy5 yesterday, 01:53AM (4)

I don't know about a pacy, by my youngest sucks two fingers almost constantly and has since birth. I still didn't get Af until she was 13 months old.....a month after I quit breastfeeding!!!!! (nt) - sis517blue yesterday, 02:10AM

I think it satisfies some of the sucking need, resulting in less stimulation of the milk ducts. (nt) - laurata yesterday, 04:11AM

32. AF question. Maybe TMI, but (m) - katie3 21 hours ago (6)

I do, I do! (m) - Dbaas 20 hours ago

It's happened to me a few times on and off over the years. Never really sure what is different....when I am charting, I never notice anything different with my temps either that month. So not sure what to tell you! (nt) - sis517blue 17 hours ago

Ah, but yet, that was very helpful to me. I don't want to make a mountain out of a mole hole. (nt) - katie3 16 hours ago

That is typically the first sign of endometriosis. (nt) - HollysTribe 13 hours ago

I think actually that pain usually accompanies the irregular bleeding....in fact with endometirosis, you can have pain at any time. My SIL has had endometriosis since she was 16 and she says that her first symtom was pain in her pelvic region. She didn't have a lot of irregular bleeding (which is usually typical, but for her wasn't). I haven't met anyone with endometriosis who hasn't complained of pain associated with it. Do you know if anyone ever has irregular bleeding but no pain? (nt) - sis517blue 3 hours ago

33. I don't know WHY I feel so hormonal over my OB visits.... - kiddaw 20 hours ago (6)

You feel so hormonal because it's legitimate. The guy sounds like a quack! (nt) - katie3 20 hours ago

Sorry for your bad visit! Had one myself yesterday and it really stinks!!!!!!!!! Hugs sent your way. (nt) - mommy2jkserjlj 19 hours ago

"try not to go into labor"?????? Did he not pay attention in medical school or what???!!!!! What a dork. (nt) - sis517blue 17 hours ago

This would really bother me. If I'm not going to get appropriate medical care, why bother seeing a medical care provider?? Any quack on the street can tell me to take a tylenol and not to go into labor early! (nt) - laurata 12 hours ago

Thanks girls...I agree..I'm really bothered. I just thought the doctor was having some "off" moments in the past and its my fault I didn't find a different provider... - kiddaw 1 hour ago
