I say two thousand ten (nt) - jakikoripiba 20 hours ago

I think I say two thousand ten, never really thought about it.... (nt) - SevenMs 20 hours ago

two thousand ten (nt) - mother2many 18 hours ago

Two thousand ten. Though, I say twenty-twelve when talking about the dubious future year. (nt) - Mirz 18 hours ago

i dunno, i don't think i've said it outloud since it has changed...when i think of it in my head i hear myself say twenty ten so i'm assuming that's how i'd say it out loud (nt) - serialmommy 18 hours ago

Twenty-Ten (nt) - tripntwinmom 16 hours ago

Twenty-ten (nt) - melsmunchkins 12 hours ago

Two-thousand ten, but I haven't had the need to say it much yet. (nt) - ckmom 10 hours ago

*~* What do you call carbonated drinks (i.e. soda, pop, etc)? *~* (nt) - Admin 21 hours ago

Soda (nt) - jakikoripiba 20 hours ago

Soda... (nt) - SevenMs 20 hours ago

I call it by it's name ... Mello Yello, Pepsi, Coke, sprite, etc. (nt) - mother2many 18 hours ago

I call everything soda. Though, my kids call cola soda and everything else by it's brand name. (nt) - Mirz 18 hours ago

it's soda unless it's brown, then it's pop...unless we are speaking of faygo..being from michigan, faygo is simply that, faygo followed by the flavor...personal fav is rockin' rye (nt) - serialmommy 18 hours ago

Coke... Pretty much everything here is a Coke. Or, a soda... (nt) - tripntwinmom 16 hours ago

soda (nt) - Claire 16 hours ago

*~* Have you or your children ever had a speech impediment? Has anyone ever need speech therapy? *~* (nt) - Admin 21 hours ago

Ds 9yo....Not a speech impediment, but speech/learning disability....he gets speech therapy once a week for 2 hrs. (nt) - jakikoripiba 20 hours ago

oh where to begin.... dh stuttered as a child and had 5 years of speech therapy, Ds#1 speech delay and therapy, Ds#2 speech sensesory issues and therapy, Ds#3 mild speech delay - no therapy, Ds#4 no delay - no therapy, Ds#5 severe speech delay - therapy until 5, had noddule removed from his vocal cords through surgery, needs more therapy and repeat surgery but I am delaying it... (nt) - SevenMs 20 hours ago

Our 2yo has to go to speech b/c he was a delayed speaker. He's doing so well now - went from maybe a 5 word vocab to now 2-3word sentences and he's only been in speech since Sept! :-) (nt) - mother2many 18 hours ago

I had a terrible lisp as a child. Was in speech therapy for 2 years and that corrected it. Though, every now and then I can slip back into it. Most of my kids have needed speech for slight speech problems, and my autistic son continues to get therapy for delays. (nt) - Mirz 18 hours ago

james and izzy...james is a slur and he still speaks so quickly and slurs everything...i'm told it's an aspie thing...izzy just doesn't speak much...they both had speech therapy for a while, it never really made a difference as far as i can tell (nt) - serialmommy 17 hours ago

Yes, Ben had a bad stutter from abt 2-4 and was in speech therapy up until 5th grade. Olivia just started speech therapy a couple months ago. Don't know where they got these problems, not from me! (nt) - wantabunch 16 hours ago

My triplets had speech therapy starting at age 2 for several years because they had their own "language." Only they understood it, but they successfully communicated among each other. I would sit outside their room and listen to them talk for 30 min at a time. It was amazing! (nt) - tripntwinmom 15 hours ago

My oldest daughter had speech therapy for just a few months when she was two. She really was only saying "mama" and "dada" at that point so there was some concern. I think she was just a late bloomer, she spoke perfectly by three! (nt) - Claire 15 hours ago

9 yr old DD just "graduated" from 2 1/2 yrs of speech. The speech therapist said she needed it for mispronunciation of her "s" and "z." I never found anything wrong with her pronunciations, but she liked speech class so I let her go. (nt) - ckmom 9 hours ago

Nope (nt) - mommacat 7 hours ago

*~* Do you have an accent? If so, what type/region/etc? *~* (nt) - Admin 21 hours ago

I don't think I have an accent....lived mostly in PA so maybe I have a Pennsylvanian accent? (nt) - jakikoripiba 20 hours ago

True Accent - NO! but I do have bits and pieces (words, phrases, and etc. where an accent shows up). because I have lived in Western Mass, Southern New York, and now Central Maine... (nt) - SevenMs 20 hours ago

I've lived in the south all my life and can pull it out when needed, but I've had people from the north tell me I have a northern accent. So??? (nt) - mother2many 18 hours ago

i live in michigan, the mid-west/great lakes areas are known for our lack of accent, it makes us distinct that way...and we over ennunciate as a general rule, it's why telemarketing firms liked to set up shop out here, well until they figured out that they could pay people in india a lot less (nt) - serialmommy 17 hours ago

I do not think so because I live in such a big city, but my friends from New Jersey and Wisconsin tell me otherwise....I also think that I avoided having a Texas accent because I was raised by adults with a New Jersey accent. So, the blend helped... :) (nt) - tripntwinmom 15 hours ago

I don't think so. I do find myself unintentionally picking up accents when I am around people with heavy regional or foreign accents. (nt) - ckmom 9 hours ago

Oh yes I do! I'm from Central Texas and I sound it!! Even had someone from Austin once say, "You're from the country right!" (nt) - mommacat 7 hours ago

*~* On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate yourself speaking (out-loud) grammar-wise? *~* (nt) - Admin 21 hours ago

I think I'm about an 8. (nt) - jakikoripiba 20 hours ago

Probably a 2 or 3 - I don't like to speak out loud grammar or speeches wise... (nt) - SevenMs 20 hours ago

Hmmmm, probably an 8-ish. (nt) - mother2many 18 hours ago

About an 8. I tend to write more grammatically than I speak, but I do try to be somewhat proper in my speech. (nt) - Mirz 18 hours ago

i type much worse (when i'm posting on boards and in instant messenger) than i speak...i've always said that if you sound like you are stupid, people will assume you are stupid, so as a general rule we are very careful to make sure everyone speaks "correctly" (nt) - serialmommy 17 hours ago

Probably a 9. (nt) - wantabunch 16 hours ago

Probably a 9....I am a teacher...I HOPE that I am a 9...I better be!! (nt) - tripntwinmom 15 hours ago

I am ever the copy editor...in speaking & writing (formal & informal), so I think I would score a 10. (nt) - ckmom 9 hours ago

It's bad. I speak like a toddler!!! (nt) - mommacat 7 hours ago

6. *~*~*~*~* Monday Music - What was one of your fave songs when you were a teenager? *~*~*~*~* (nt) - Admin 21 hours ago (3)

7. *#* To our friends on the upper east coast U.S. -- Were you effected by the snow? How are you holding up? *#* (nt) - Mirz 17 hours ago (2)

We are in the Washington DC area and the streets are minimally plowed but we have plenty of food fun and friends around to make it fun! (nt) - mom2twelve 13 hours ago
