I have a general Electric toaster oven that was purchased at Walmart for about $50.00 in February 2008. I find that the oven works great. We did not have the ability to use our regular oven and thus this toaster oven was our substitute. The oven creates a lot of heat on top so be careful not to have any burnable objects on top. I successfully cooked casseroles (in a smaller pan than normal) muffins (walmart sells muffin pans for 6 at a time) and even bread.
This is not an oven you would buy to feed a LOK family but rather for side dishes or as back up to your regular stove. It does not cook more than one dish at a time.
But one more feature I like about this toaster oven is that when the timer goes off the stove shuts off. No burning your food! In my old oven I often forgot about food until things were a bit over done but this stove will shut right off! A bonus in my book!
