Ingredients:

8-10 large onions, sliced
1/2 c butter
6 - 10 1/2 oz cans of condensed beef broth
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3 bay leaves
French bread, sliced and toasted
grated parmesan and/or mozzarella cheese
Directions:
  1. Saute onion in butter until crisp-tender. Transfer to slow cooker.

  2. Add broth, worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves.

  3. Cover. Cook on low 5-7 hours or until onions are tender. Discard bay leaves.

  4. Ladle into bowls. Top each with a slice of bread and some cheese.

  • OPT. For a more intense beef flavor, add one beef bouillon cube or use home-cooked beef broth instead of canned.
