FOOD INVENTORY

In order to maximize your grocery money, a common practice is simply known as stock-up! There's no secret in that if you find a great deal on frozen waffles or dry spaghetti, you pick up two or three times what you normally buy and keep it for later. If you're lucky, you have a pantry or a deep freezer to help you store this overflow. Even if you don't, a few shelves in the basement or a section of your regular freezer can be utilized for those power-buy items. Trouble is sometimes you forget that you bought 20 boxes of macaroni & cheese three months ago, and you have only gone through 10. It's frustrating running out to the store at the last minute for a couple of pounds of ground beef, only to find you had plenty buried in the bottom of your deep freezer. Taking food inventory can be a great way to keep track of what you have on hand and what you need to buy. We have created a variety of lists to help you with this task. In addition to lists for your freezer and pantry, we have also included a list for your refrigerator (this is a great way to note when you opened that jar of mayonnaise so you know just how old it is). Plus, we've made a special chart especially for leftovers, so you can know what you have on hand so that you'll be able to use it before it goes bad.

Note: Images might print slightly different than they look on the screen. Also, if downloading the images onto your computer, you may need to resize them to your liking, as they will print larger than what is generated off of the Web.
